PhotoAccess to Bring RadioShack Customers Digital
Camera Photo Prints
Seattle, Washington August 26th
RadioShack Corporation (NYSE: RSH) and PhotoAccess.com Corp. recently
announced an agreement to bring digital photo storage and printing
services to RadioShack customers using PhotoAccess' digital photo
finishing solution.
The new digital photo service provided by PhotoAccess will be a
key element of RadioShack' s complete line of digital photography
products and FOTOSHACK-branded services. RadioShack customers will
be able to purchase digital cameras and accessories from RadioShack
and order high quality photographic prints from the PhotoAccess
provided web site. RadioShack will market this new service to its
customers via web promotions, email, monthly in-home sales flyers
and newspaper inserts under the FOTOSHACK brand.
RadioShack chose PhotoAccess "because of the easy to use and feature
rich web site, great prints, and flexible architecture," said Bob
Kilinski, senior vice president and general manager of RadioShack'
s Connecting Places strategic business unit. "With digital photography
taking off we need a company that has a deep understanding of the
technology and can provide our customers with an excellent experience.
RadioShack offers its customers outstanding products and services,
and our relationship with PhotoAccess will continue this tradition.
Our customers will receive great digital prints from the cameras
they purchase at our stores or online."
PhotoAccess, the leading provider of online digital photo finishing
solutions for retail has integrated its digital photo finishing
infrastructure systems with RadioShack' s web site. The service
has been available since July 1, 2002. "RadioShack represents another
in a series of large, well-established retailers that we' re working
with that are integrating digital photo finishing into their online
services and stores" said Jerry Barber, President and CEO of PhotoAccess.
"RadioShack has entered into the digital photography market at a
very good time. Like the music CD replaced the vinyl record, digital
photography is fast supplanting film photography. RadioShack will
become a preferred destination for photo services as the digital
camera replaces the film camera." RadioShack customers can now upload
and store digital images, share them with friends and family, and
order prints and other photo products.
PhotoAccess (www.photoaccess.com)
leads the way in providing end-to-end, branded digital photo finishing
solutions for a variety of companies worldwide including retail,
photographic, electronics, and web publishing. The web site is available
